Geotechnics

The Area of Concentration in Geotechnics is the oldest in the program, with activities beginning in 1991, when the Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering was created. Currently, the Area has three research lines, they are:

• Analytical and experimental geotechnics
• Environment and environmental quality
• Transport systems and infrastructure

The Program also has the transversal research line Computational Methods Applied to Engineering, which serves the four areas.
