Laboratory of Mechanical Testing (LEM)

The Laboratory of Mechanical Testing has an area of 173 m². It is part of the LABENGE (UFV Engineering Laboratory Complex), which also includes 14 other civil engineering, mechanical engineering and control and automation laboratories. It has a 15 m span crane with a capacity of 6 tons and a universal testing machine with a capacity of 60 tons of tension and 200 tons of compression.

LEM/UFV has modern data acquisition systems and a wide range of equipment and measuring instruments intended for the experimental analysis of structures and components for civil engineering and mechanical engineering. It has a universal testing machine (capacity: 600 kN of tension and 2000 kN of compression), durometers and impact testing machines.
