Laboratory of Pavement Mechanics (LMP)

The Laboratory of Pavement Mechanics aims to meet the demands of undergraduate and graduate courses that involve resilience modulus and permanent deformation tests of soils and other granular materials. These tests are fundamental for the analysis of the deformability characteristics of these materials, as knowledge of these characteristics is the basis for the current method of designing flexible pavements in Brazil. To this end, the laboratory has dynamic load application equipment from the company Geocomp. The laboratory is preparing to receive a new structure with computers and a study environment for undergraduate and graduate research.
