PPGEC/UFV opens applications for Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Civil Engineering for the 2nd Academic Semester of 2026
Applications are now open, starting today (May 25th), for the selection process of the Master’s and Doctoral Academic degrees at the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering (PPGEC) of the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). The positions are for admission in the second academic semester of 2026.
The selection process covers the program’s four concentration areas: Construction Engineering, Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Spatial Information. Each area has specific research tracks focused on technical-scientific development and technological innovation.
Positions and Affirmative Actions: Positions are distributed between general competition and the quota system. In compliance with institutional guidelines, at least 20% of the total positions offered are reserved for affirmative actions targeting Black, Indigenous, and persons with disabilities (PwD) candidates.
How to apply: Applications must be submitted exclusively online until June 16, 2026, through the UFV Selection Process Management System (GPS), in the “Inscrição e Seleção” (Application and Selection) section.
Applicants must fill out the electronic application form, upload the documents required by the notice (such as the research project, curriculum vitae, and supporting documentation), and pay the application fee generated by the system.
Main Schedule:
- Application period: May 25, 2026, to June 16, 2026
- Confirmation/Homologation of applications: June 17, 2026, to June 19, 2026
