Researchers from the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering published an article in the journal Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews
The work Life cycle assessment and techno-economic analysis for biofuel and biofertilizer recovery as by-products from microalgae was published by researchers from the group SIGEOnPA, as a result of a research project coordinated by Professor Lúcia Calijuri, in partnership with Professor Fábio de Ávila Rodrigues and researcher Maurino Magno de Jesus (DEQ/UFV).
The study investigates the environmental performance and technical-economic viability of the production of solid biofuel and biofertilizer, through hydrothermal carbonization of microalgae cultivated in agro-industry wastewater, at a commercial level.
