UFV launches extraordinary call for international applicants to the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering

The Graduate Program in Civil Engineering (PPGEC) at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) has published Extraordinary Call No. 003/2025, aimed exclusively at international applicants. The selection, conducted under CAPES PEC-PG Call No. 12/2025, offers 3 positions for the Academic Master’s program and 3 positions for the Academic Doctoral program.

Applications will be open from September 10 to 22, 2025.

Successful candidates may develop their research in one of PPGEC’s four concentration areas: Construction Engineering, Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Spatial Information. Final enrollment will depend on advisor availability and the Program Committee’s decision.

The selection process will comprise the evaluation of academic transcripts, curriculum vitae, research proposal, video presentation, and recommendation letters. Detailed criteria are provided in the call for applications.

The process also provides for the possibility of CAPES scholarships under CAPES-PEC-PG Call No. 12/2025. However, the granting of scholarships is not guaranteed by the Program, being subject to budget availability and to CAPES’s exclusive decision.
