Researchers from PROPEC/UFOP, PPGEC/UFV and UFJF published an article in the journal Ambiente Construído

The article Influence of the filler effect of marble powder on the production of concrete for interlocking pavements investigates the use of residual marble powder as a filler and its effects on the production of concrete for interlocking pavers. The physical properties of the materials used and the mechanical and microstructural characteristics of the concrete developed were evaluated. It was found that the inclusion of waste in the production cycle is beneficial by optimizing material properties, reducing the consumption of raw materials and the environmental impacts associated with their extraction.
