Researchers from the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering published an article in the Journal of Building Engineering

The work Experimental study of mixtures soil-industrial waste using simplex design for application in paving, authored by Professor Klaus Henrique de Paula Rodrigues (DEC/UFV), aimed to stabilize two samples of tropical soils using two industrial wastes, electric arc furnace slag (EAFS) and fly ash (FA), using a design of experiments (DoE) of mixtures in a simplex centroid network. The study demonstrated the technical and environmental feasibility of the solution. Professors Taciano Oliveira da Silva, Heraldo Nunes Pitanga, and Leonardo Gonçalves Pedroti also authored the paper, as well as the student Mateus Henrique Ribeiro Rodrigues.
